Chevrolet Camaro SS 1968

Starting Bid 40 000

The standard Camaro was introduced in 1966. Available as a coupe or convertible with a choice of nine engines, from 140 to 375 hp. The most powerful SS (Super Sport) has a V8 350cc small block with 255 hp, or as an option a V8 big block 396 cc of 325 or even 375 hp.

The Camaro Yenko is a car produced by Chevrolet and modified by Yenko Chevrolet from 1967 to 1968 for phase 1. Its production amounted to only 201 according to Chevrolet and 199 according to Yenko workshops. The American and rare European models are traded at prices ranging from 25 to 400,000 USD.

When the Camaro came out at the end of 1967, its 6.6-liter V8 (396 cc) was a slight handicap compared to the Ford Mustang, Plymouth Barracuda and Dodge Dart. Don Yenko opted for the L72, 427 cc V8 of the Corvette phase 2 and increased its power from 430 to 450 hp.

In 1968, small improvements are made to the new model: reinforced suspensions and double scoop front hood (instead of one on the previous series) and a speed of 230 km/h.

This car is offered with French registration and technical control.
