Presentation / History of the vehicle

The Bentley S-series was introduced in 1955. It was not a radical new model as the S1 was derived from Rolls-Royce's complete redesign of the Silver Cloud. Originally, the S-series was equipped with a six-cylinder engine. At the launch of the S2 in 1959, the new aluminium 6.2 L V8 was introduced. This nice big-block engine continued its life on the S3 with minor changes and remained the iconic Rolls-Royce Bentley engine for decades.

This car has been converted from a four-door to a two-door by the professional company Hooper International. The technical implementation as well as the style and the high quality of the company H.J. Mulliner were kept. Hooper International is a company sponsored by Rolls-Royce and the Bentley Museum, which is primarily dedicated to the restoration and bodywork of luxury vehicles. The conversion took place in 2008 and 2009.

The car was extensively restored true to the original and with the greatest preservation of the vehicle assemblies. The vehicle was modified historically correct very extensively. The modification includes mainly the body shape. As described above, the vehicle was created from an S3 Standard Steel Saloon. The body modification was carried out as part of the complete restoration, which was performed using the frame-off method. In order to preserve as much of the original substance as possible. The front doors were extended by a proportion of the rear doors. The conversion to a convertible underlines the already very elegant and timeless lines of the body and gives it a very high-quality appearance.

General condition

The overall condition of the car is as good as new and is perfectly maintained (invoices available).
