The Mercedes-Benz coded “R107" and commercially called “SL” has the difficult mission of replacing the well-known “Pagoda”. It was released in 1971 and will run until 1989. His stretched line allows him to achieve this mission by combining the aesthetic standards of the time with what made the success of the previous version. As a result, the largest engines will be placed under this majestic hood. The 280 SL and 300 SL versions will be equipped with 6 cylinders in line. The 350 SL, 380 SL, 420 SL, 450 SL and 500 SL models will receive a displacement V8 that corresponds globally to the denomination. We refer here to the convertible versions, but their coupe equivalent existed for each version, their acronym became “SLC”.

The most powerful of its time with the 5.6 litre V8. Specific to the American market. Once again, we present you a very nice Mercedes 560 SL with a gorgeous color code: red with a beige leather interior. A small peculiarity, its previous owner equipped it with European optics on the front.

General condition

The gearbox has been replaced, the rear cover has been rebuilt (invoices are available). Which means that these last two operations have come at an exorbitant cost that this Mercedes values for its future history.
