The Alfa Romeo Giulia was produced by the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo between 1962 and 1977 in its new plant in Arese. In 1964, Alfa Romeo launched an entry-level model, the Giulia 1300, with a 1290cc single-carburetor engine and developing 78 hp, a four-speed transmission, only two headlights instead of the four like the 1600, a simpler interior finish. In 1965, the 1300 TI version was presented, with the 1290 cc engine and a power increased to 82 hp, a five-speed transmission, a brake booster, and finishes similar to the 1600 model but still with only two headlights at the front. In 1970 the Giulia 1300 Super appeared. Equipped with the same level of equipment as the 1600, it also benefited from an 89hp engine with dual carburetor and a five-speed transmission.
