Italy's most iconic family city car: the 1964 FIAT Nuova 600 Series D 2, manufactured just a few months from May 1964 to October 1965. It is therefore rare on the market.
The D II series had as its main modification the direction of opening the doors. Indeed, to comply with safety standards, the doors were modified to open “facing the wind” unlike the previous versions called “suicide”.
This FIAT 600 has remained in the same family since it was imported from Italy in the 70s. A restoration was carried out in the 1990s by the last owner. Removal of all the elements, exposing the frame, sandblasting, anti-corrosion treatment and complete painting made in the original color “Bianco”. A maximum of original elements have been preserved so as not to distort the car, such as interior trim, seat covers, vinyl floor. The bumpers have been re-chromed.
The vehicle is in excellent condition both inside and outside. No chassis corrosion was detected. Regular interviews have helped maintain a driving pleasure that is very good for his age.
Trace of oil between the box-engine junction (change of the seal to be expected).
